The Junior Chamber of commerce of Montreal (JCCM) is taking over from the Brigade Arts Affaires de Montréal (BAAM) to partner with the Carmelle and Rémi-Marcoux Chair in Arts Management at HEC Montréal to recognize the next generation of leaders in the relationship between the arts and business worlds. To celebrate creativity in arts-business relations, the JCCM and the Chair will jointly present the ARDI Awards for Cultural Philanthropy in 2026.
The name ARDI is a fusion of the word art and the adjective hardi, meaning someone who dares, who shows audacity and originality. The goal of these awards is to highlight and celebrate the dynamism of the next generation of local arts and business leaders. Two awards will be presented, one to a person in cultural management and the other to a person in the business community to recognize their exemplary philanthropic involvement. A service award will be granted by JCCM to the organization of the person in cultural management and another award will be given to a cultural organization chosen by the person in the business community. For its part, the Chair manages the information and jury process for the Awards.
